Essential last-minute wedding week tasks that will make sure you have a smooth, memorable, and perfect wedding day!

YAY! You’re in the final stretch of wedding planning, and your big day is just around the corner. As you enter your wedding week, it’s natural to feel a mix of excitement and a hint of nerves. But don’t worry, I’ve got you covered! In this blog post, I’ll walk you through some essential last-minute wedding week tasks that will ensure a smooth and memorable celebration!

Label Your Decor Boxes and Bins:

Imagine this: You arrive at your venue, ready to bring your vision to life, only to find yourself struggling to locate and unpack your decor. Avoid this stress by taking a few extra minutes to label your decor boxes and bins. Not only should you label the outer containers, but also make sure to label the specific decor items inside. By making it dummy-proof, you’ll know exactly which table each item belongs to, ensuring a seamless setup process.

Alphabetize Escort Cards:

If you’ve opted for escort cards, which direct guests to their assigned tables, make your guests’ lives easier by arranging them in alphabetical order. Escort cards usually include meal indicators for catering purposes, so organizing them by first or last name will allow guests to find their cards effortlessly. This simple step will save valuable time during the wedding day set-up, leaving more room for celebration and enjoyment.

Double Check Your Seating Chart and Floor Plan:

A well-organized seating chart is essential for a smooth reception. Take the time to review your seating chart and cross-reference it with the floor plan provided by your venue. Ensure that you have the correct number of tables and chairs for the expected number of guests at each table. If you have a wedding coordinator, rely on their expertise to oversee the set-up. However, even if you’re managing the details yourself, it’s super important to double-check everything to avoid any last-minute surprises.

Confirm Your Transportation Plans:

Transportation logistics can often be overlooked, but they are essential for a stress-free wedding day. If you’ve arranged transportation services, reach out to the company to confirm the details. Provide them with clear instructions regarding pick-up and drop-off locations, along with the agreed-upon timing. If you’re utilizing personal vehicles, make sure to decide who will be driving each car well in advance. Assigning drivers and understanding parking arrangements will ensure a smooth flow throughout the day.

Remember to relax and enjoy yourself!

Your wedding week is an exciting and exhilarating time. By making sure these last-minute details are done, you’ll feel a lot more confident and prepared. Remember, this is a time to celebrate your love and create beautiful memories with your soon to be spouse, family, and friends. Take a deep breath, trust in the planning you’ve done, and savor every moment of this remarkable journey.
