One of my favorite things about a wedding is the florals.

There are so many ways to display flowers at your wedding, and they are the perfect way to showcase your personality! Yes, you can stay on top of wedding floral trends while also staying true to your own unique style.

It is always important to stay on top of what’s trending and, as a wedding planner, I do the hard work for you!

Here are some wedding floral trends of 2023 to look out for!

Petite wedding bouquets

Lately, the trend in florals has been big bouquets with lots of greenery, but this year that is shifting towards smaller, effortless bouquets. Keep it simple with one to two colors and minimal types of flowers.

Wedding flower installations

You are probably used to seeing florals in bouquets, centerpieces, or even on some altars but the new big thing right now is flower installations. People are using flowers in the most unique and unexpected ways. From blooms cascading down staircases or hanging from the ceiling to floral covered cake tables and stages/DJ tables!

Bold color palettes

Jewel tones and bright colors with contrast are totally the move right now. We are used to seeing very cohesive colors, but in 2023 we will see a lot more contrasting colors – and your florist will LOVE it. This is an amazing year for creativity and wedding florals that POP.

Colorblocking

Speaking of colors, monofloral colorblocking is going to be veryyy popular this year. This is for those of you that love that cool, contemporary vibe. Monofloral arrangements are made with one flower, and colorblocking means they are all the same color. There isn’t any greenery used for filler in these types of arrangements. An example of this would be your wedding bouquet being all white roses or your altar florals being all magenta peonies. This is also a great time to throw in some contrast! Having a wedding arch of blue hydrangeas would look stunning with a bridal bouquet of peach colored peonies. I absolutely love this look and the possibilities are endless!

Non-floral Centerpieces

Throwing this in here for my girls that just aren’t about all things floral! We will be seeing a big rise in the use of candlesticks, votives, decorative vases, china, and flatware! There are so many options from all gold to mixed metal to colored glass and I am also loving the use of different textures! Linens play a huge part in the overall look as well. There are so many different directions you can go in designing your tablescape! You can even bring in some aspects of the florals trends here too like the jewel tones, pops of color, and monochromatic. So whatever your style is, there is a tablescape that will fit it perfectly.
